Chyron Names Brian Spiers Senior National Account Executive

Melville, NY, May 23, 2011: Chyron today announced the appointment of Brian Spiers as senior national account executive within the company’s North American sales team. Spiers brings a diverse enterprise sales background to his new role, having earlier held sales management positions with Tektronix, Grass Valley, and Digital Broadcast.

“Brian will offer unique insights into strategic selling, business development, strategic account planning, and key account management,” said Bruce Levine, vice president of North American sales at Chyron. “With more than two decades of industry experience, Brian has excelled in hardware, software, and system sales, and has also spent considerable time identifying enterprise-level opportunities and building strategic approaches to a wide variety of clients. We’re very pleased to welcome Brian to the Chyron team.”

In his most recent position as vice president of sales, North America, at Digital Broadcast, Spiers helped to craft a variety of sales initiatives specifically tailored to broadcast and media groups with a specific emphasis on sales trends, best practices, and ROI metrics. He led similar initiatives while earlier serving as regional sales director for the central United States and Canada at Grass Valley. Spiers also served as national sales manager, Canada, for Tektronix. He earned his MBA with a specialization in digital technologies management at Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia.
