New Jersey Native Peter Smith Joins Titan Worldwide as General Manager in Largest Transit Market
Smith Brings Wall Street Experience and Advertising Sales Knowledge to Out-of-Home Leader

New York, NY, September 3, 2008 – Titan Worldwide has hired sales and management veteran Peter Smith to assume the role as General Manager in the nation’s largest statewide public transportation market -- New Jersey.

A New Jersey native, Mr. Smith began his career in the financial world as an Institutional Money Broker on Wall Street at Euro Brokers, Inc., where he spent 15 years holding several managerial positions.  With a significant knowledge of financial sales under his belt, Mr. Smith moved into the advertising industry at Discovery Communications, where he spent two years selling digital media for the company’s online/broadcast group.

For the past seven years, Mr. Smith further honed his ad sales and management skills as the Group Sales Manager for National Advertising at The New York Post, where he was responsible for leading the national ad group and expanding national print and online sales with an annual budget of $32 million.

“As a resident of the state for his entire life, Peter is very familiar with the New Jersey market and its importance as the major artery linking the cities of New York and Philadelphia,” said Dave Neglio, President, Transit Division, Titan. “So it was imperative that we chose a strong regional leader, like Peter, to service the needs of this market. Plus, he’s one of the most driven guys I know!”

The New Jersey Transit system provides bus, rail and light rail services linking major points in New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia. Making more than 764,050 trips each day on 240 bus routes, 11 commuter rail lines and 3 light rail lines, Mr. Smith will be responsible for leading the sales team in his market.

Mr. Smith received his bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.  He currently resides in Roseland, New Jersey with his family.
