Titan Worldwide Expands Transit Footprint to Dallas
Out-of-Home Giant Adds Fifth Largest Market, Reaching Millions of Texas Commuters Each Month
NEW YORK, July 21, 2008 – Titan Worldwide has added the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) system to its nationwide network of transit advertising properties.
In an asset swap with Lamar Advertising Company, Titan will exchange its Staten Island 30-Sheet inventory for the DART Advertising franchise. The DART system is the 14th U.S. market for Titan and the first venture in Texas.
DART’s extensive network of DART Rail, Trinity Railway Express (TRE) and buses service more than 200,000 passengers per day. DART services 13 cities including Addison, Carrollton, Cockrell Hill, Dallas, Farmers Branch, Garland, Glenn Heights, Highland Park, Irving, Plano, Richardson, Rowlett and University Park, with 130 bus routes, 45 miles of light rail and 35 miles of commuter transit rail.
Founded in 2001 by Out-of-Home visionary and Chairman William Apfelbaum, and led by President and CEO Donald Allman, Titan Worldwide has grown into the leader in the transit industry (bus, subway, commuter and light rail advertising) providing sales, marketing and maintenance of transit, billboard, wallscape, telephone kiosk, street banner, shopping mall, supermarket and trestle advertising.
