Titan Worldwide Promotes David Etherington To Senior Vice President Worldwide
Marketing Director

NEW YORK — January 7, 2008 —Titan Worldwide, the world’s largest privately held Out-of Home advertising sales company, has promoted David Etherington to Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing Director.

Mr. Etherington, 33, will relocate from the U.K. to Titan Worldwide’s New York office and be responsible for leading the company’s worldwide marketing and advertising efforts. He joined Titan Worldwide in May 2007 as U.K. marketing director.

Prior to joining Titan Worldwide, Mr. Etherington spent nearly nine years at Guardian News & Media, publisher of U.K. daily papers The Guardian and The Observer.  He started in advertising sales but quickly moved to media planning, strategic development management, sponsorships and events management across Guardian’s family of publications. Mr. Etherington was part of the 1999 team that launched the paper’s website, www.guardian.co.uk, which is now considered one of the largest and most well respected news websites in the world.  It’s recent launch in the U.S. ranked second only to the BBC in unique users. 

Also during his tenure at The Guardian, Mr. Etherington launched and headed what is now known as Guardian Plus, a creative and strategic resource that works in partnership with agencies and brands to help them harness the power of the Guardian News and Media portfolio.  He also spearheaded the development of content partnerships and won numerous awards for the company. 

Prior to his work at The Guardian, Mr. Etherington began his career with the BBC Worldwide as an advertising sales executive for BBC Music Magazine.   Mr. Etherington has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Wales in Bangor.
