Former GeoCities Executive Stephen Hansen Creates Online Community for Youth Sports

NEW YORK, May 13, 2009 – Weplay.com has selected KCSA Strategic Communications as its public relations agency of record.

Weplay.com is an online, interactive community for student athletes, coaches, parents and fans.  The site combines the power of social media with engaging and empowering content reaching kids ages 6-16, parents and coaches who are involved in or wish to become involved in youth sports. Weplay.com is also partnered with many Youth Sports Organizations (YSOs) including Pop Warner, Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA), National Council of Youth Sports (NCYS), United States Bowling Congress (USBC) and Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA).

In addition, Weplay.com has a dedicated group of founding athletes with equity stake in the company who each provide unique and exclusive content to the site.  These A-list athletes include Lebron James, Derek Jeter, Jennie Finch, Peyton Manning, Summer Sanders and Ryan Howard.  Each athlete has a personal profile page, a blog, and is able to upload videos and other content including tips from the pros that comprise the most comprehensive Skills and Drills library on the Internet.  Each athlete posts exclusive photos and videos of themselves as youth athletes, and will judge contests and promotions offered exclusively through Weplay.com.
